Players Donate £760 to the Club
During the past years, players have been unable to train, engage in tournaments or spend time with teammates. Events over the past year have been exclusively online while players waited for the opportunity to train again. Now that things are moving forwards, players are now eager to start participating in the wonderful sport of powerchair football once again.
Whilst away, there hasn’t been any venues or contribute towards hence players were recently asked if they would like to donate the fees that otherwise would have gone towards the missed training sessions. As a result, several players chose to donate their fees to the club, totalling almost £760, which is outstanding especially during the pandemic.
All the players who chose to donate, thank you so much. This helps the club continue on its mission to help and ensure players have the equipment and resources they need to compete at all levels in the sport of powerchair football. We are truely grateful for all the support provide by all players, members and club supporters who help to grow our great club.
“I think it’s fantastic that other players on my team chose to donate to the club, despite the difficult circumstances of the pandemic.”
