
NPFC Secures 10 Points at Fourth MDUK Premiership Weekend…

Welcome to the latest edition of our match weekend reports! This is the team’s fourth set of fixtures as part of the WFA MDUK National Premiership League. The team went into the weekend with hopes of maintaining their 3rd place table position. Read on to see how NPFC got on.
Saturday 30th April 2022

WBA Throstles (H) vs NPFC (A)
NPFC started their first game strong securing two goals throughout the game. An early shot made in the match allowed the team to gain a lead. After some fierce tight, defensive gameplay, the team secured an additional goal, bringing the final score to 0-2 – the first 3 points and win for the weekend.
NPFC (H) vs Villa Rockets (A)
In the second game, the team came up against Villa Rockets in an excellent performance. The team started out slow but were quickly able to read and work around Villa’s tight defence, securing two goals during the first half, thanks to some great wide opportunities being taken. Unfortunately, the team conceded a goal during the second half due to being caught out defensively but the team managed to instantly come back bringing the final score to 3-1, helping the team secure 3 more points.

Leeds PFC (H) vs NPFC (A)
During the second day, the team came up against Leeds PFC for an early game start. As with every Sunday game, the team had a scrappy start being unable to score any goals, despite many opportunities on the back post, leading to a 0-0 draw and 1 point for the team. Whilst the team didn’t score any goals, the team were creative in creating potential goal opportunities.
NPFC vs Manchester United PFC
Finally, the team came up against Manchester United PFC for yet another tight but fast-paced game. Both teams proved to be difficult to get by, with the ball moving up and down the pitch throughout. The team were able to secure a goal, thanks to a lucky manoeuvre leading to a cheeky corner goal. Despite securing a goal during the first half, the second half proved to be very difficult with Manchester increasing their pressure.
Another Successful Weekend
Overall, the team was able to secure 10/12 available points, leading to yet another successful weekend for the squad. The team now has over a month to prepare for their final set of fixtures where the team will be competing for another 12 points and hopefully be aiming for a 3rd place finish.
