NPFC Attends Leeds Festival – September 19th 2021
Match Day – Travelling to Leeds!
Last weekend, NPFC attended the Leeds Festival to play friendly games. The first team (NPFC) attended with some players joining from our Nottingham Forest team. The days focus for the team was to practice and get last-minute game time in preparation for league events. It was also the perfect opportunity to grow as a team and to try out new match tactics.
Game 1 vs Manchester United PFC
During the festival, the team played 3 games, with a variety of results, a 1-1 draw against Manchester United where two great goals were scored by both sides. It also proved that with time to set up and taking a shot on goal can make a difference in a match!
Game 2 vs Leeds Chariots PFC
As for the second game, the team, unfortunately, lost 4-0 after mixing up the team. While the first half showed potential in the team to attack and defend, the second half was the complete opposite I think this game showed the team aren’t always prepared in certain situations.
Game 3 vs Sale PFC
Finally, we played against Sale, where the team managed to make up for their previous loss. The team started working better together and the team were able to score 3 goals throughout the match. This performance showed the team has potential so long they take shots on goal when the chance arises!
The Final Whistle
Overall, this festival only helped the team see their strengths and weaknesses. The players enjoyed playing together and it enabled them to enhance their team-building skills. We would also like to thank Leeds PFC for allowing us to attend the Leeds Festival last Sunday – please consider checking out their website.
