
NFPFC Attends The WFA National League Championship – 23rd/24th…
It’s been a busy weekend for our Nottingham Forest Team as they played in their first set of MDUK WFA National League Championship matches at Nottingham Trent’s very own Lee Westwood sports centre. The event saw up to 12 teams travel across the country to Nottingham to compete in the event. The weekend saw some fierce competition from all the teams who attended.
Today, we will be covering the first set of National League Championship matches our Nottingham Forest PFC team played last weekend (23rd and 24th October 2021). Nottingham Forest had some time to practice before the weekend, having travelled to Birmingham on the 10th of October for their first set of season fixtures. Read below to see how the team got on!

Saturday
Norwich City vs Nottingham Forest PFC
Nottingham Forest came up against Norwich City in their first game. After one goal from the first half, the team tried to come together and make a comeback. Unfortunately during the second half, the team conceded another 4 goals due to a strong Norwich side, leading to a 5-0 loss against the team.
Nottingham Forest PFC vs WBA Dudley
The team then came up against WBA Dudley who they had previously warmed up against in the regional league. During this game, Forest managed to score a goal during the first half but had conceded 3, leaving them 1-3 at halftime. Despite efforts to come back, Forest conceded an additional 2 goals, leading to a 1-5 loss.
Nottingham Forest PFC vs Nomad Knights
It was a close game for Nottingham Forest as they were put up against the Nomad Knights. Both sides had good chances to score but a shot on goal by Nomads was enough to secure them a goal, leading to a 0-1 loss for the Forest team.

Sunday Matches
After a well-deserved rest, Nottingham Forest aimed to come back stronger on the second day of the National League Championship fixtures.
Muscle Warriors vs Nottingham Forest PFC
Although the first day games didn’t go as planned, the team aimed to come back and gain some victories. The first game on Sunday was up against Muscle Warriors. The game started with a strong defence during the first half, however, during the second half, the team was unable to keep up the defence which led to a 3-0 loss.
Nottingham Forest PFC vs Greenbank PFC
Finally, Nottingham Forest PFC came up against Greenbank PFC to finish off their first weekend of fixtures. The game was close with a goal bring scored by the Forest side. But Greenbank PFC was able to secure 2 goals, leading to a 1-2 loss for the forest side.
Upwards and Onwards!
Even though the team wasn’t able to secure any wins, the team was able to develop together. We hope Forest will be able to secure some points at their next set of WFA National League Championship fixtures! Nottingham Forest now has time to prepare for their next set of tough fixtures.
